Finance, Insurance & Licensing Issues
When starting a new business, changing its structure, or adding partners, shareholders or members, one must consider:
● Whether the venture is adequately financed and, if not, how and where to obtain the necessary finances to run the business;
● Whether the company has adequate insurance for the venture, including general liability, automobile, directors and officers, errors and omissions, health insurance, and whether the particular venture is covered by insurance; and
● Whether a license is required, or must be amended, as a result of the change.
